Sources say that Rodriguez will direct two stand-alone specials, one with the comedian Ian Lara and the other with Ralph Barbosa and Gwen La Roka. Barbosa and La Roka are the two people who won the HBO & NYLFF Latino Stand-Up Comedy Competition. The two specials will be Rodriguez's first time as a director.

By helming both shows, Rodriguez is sort of going back to her roots. In 2018, she had made an appearance in an earlier version of "Entre Nos." "Fighting Words," Rodriguez's stand-up special from 2021, is now available to watch on HBO Max. The special talked about a lot of different things, like how she tried to get back into dating and how she was tired of political humor.

As an actor, Rodriguez has appeared in both scripted and non-scripted projects. She is well-known for her appearances on "The Young Turks" and the ninth season of "Last Comic Standing" on NBC, as well as her own specials. She has also been cast on a number of TV shows, such as "Illegal," "The Nightly Show with Larry Wilmore," "Latino 101," and "Pause With Sam Jay."

In her comedic works, Rodriguez looks at both current events and her own life. In "Fighting Words," she looked at her Dominican and Puerto Rican roots by showing how she traveled to both countries to celebrate their cultures and meet her estranged father.
