Now, it appears that the Oscar-winning Denzel Washington and Dakota Fanning are prepared to reunite. Fanning is cast opposite Washington in Antoine Fuqua's The Equalizer 3.
Oscar nominee Todd Black, Jason Blumenthal, Steve Tisch, and Washington produce. Richard Wenk wrote the screenplay. The third movie of Fuqua's The Equalizer series, which stars Washington, is currently a mystery due to its plot. The first movie made $194 million globally, and the sequel made $190 million. The third movie opens September 1, 2023.
Man On Fire enabled Washington to kick ass in later movies like the Equalizer series, but it's also known for the poignant exchanges between Washington and Fanning, who plays her bodyguard. Sony and Fuqua wanted to reunite the two superstars.
At the moment, Fanning may be seen co-starring with Michelle Pfeiffer in Susanne Bier's The First Lady on Showtime. She just finished filming Ripley by Steve Zaillian for Showtime with Andrew Scott. Previously, she reprised the character of "Sarah Howard" in season 2 of The Alienist: Angel Of Darkness.
Fanning has also appeared in The Twilight Saga, I Am Sam, War of the Worlds, Uptown Girls, Charlotte's Web, and Once Upon a Time in Hollywood.
